The 7th "Zhongxing Pengyue" College Student Simulated Interview Competition and the 2026 Employment Mobilization Activity of Xi'an Jiaotong University were recently held in Xi’an, Shaanxi province.

The event aimed to foster collaborative education models between schools and enterprises, promote industry-education integration, develop students' employment mindset, and refine their practical job hunting skills.

Hosted by Wang Lin, the recruitment and deployment director of ZTE Northwest Region, the competition saw over 230 graduate students from various colleges at Xi'an Jiaotong University participating.

Zheng Xuhong, director of the Student Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Service Center at Xi'an Jiaotong University, introduced initiatives to instill a correct employment ethos and facilitate high-quality employment opportunities for students. Zheng encouraged the graduating class of 2026 to actively engage in entrepreneurship guidance activities.

Wei Lai, head of the Intelligence Department at ZTE Wireless and Computing Research Institute, delivered an insightful lecture titled "Reflections on the Essence of AI," empowering students to adapt to the demands of the AI-driven workplace. Using the Wireless and Computing Research Institute as a case study, Wei highlighted the evolving requirements for technical roles in the AI era, urging students to cultivate lifelong learning and adaptability.

The establishment of the Xi'an Jiaotong University ZTE Leading Class was announced, symbolizing a milestone in collaboration between the university and ZTE, aimed at nurturing innovative talents in communication and information technology. Through comprehensive training encompassing theoretical education, practical exercises, and project involvement, the leading class leverages an industry-university research integration model.

Xi'an Jiaotong University and ZTE are actively championing a fresh paradigm of education and employment through their collaborative efforts, focusing on tailored talent development, establishing employment internship bases, and enhancing human resources—an initiative that has garnered acclaim.

This competition serves as a practical avenue for students to enhance their employability, ensuring a precise alignment between talent cultivation and societal needs while aiding students in charting their career trajectories.

At the event, the Xi'an Jiaotong University ZTE Leading Class is announced to be established.
